Datasheet
The Scorpion HCCR is a Solid-State Electronic Accepted Blasting Machine: MSHA Acceptance No.: MSHA-LCBU-1.

NOTE: The HCCR is a MSHA Accepted Large Capacity Blasting Unit; It has been tested and Accepted by MSHA for use in coal and other gassy mines when seeking approval for use of an LCBU where plans and variances are required. Use of this unit alone does not release the operator from seeking proper MSHA approvals when and where it is required.

The Scorpion HCCR is a rugged and robust machine made for harsh mining environments. It features completely sealed electronics making them waterproof and impervious to dust, dirt, sand, and debris. The HCCR incorporates EIT’s Heavy-Duty Push-Down Binding Posts which offer quick and secure lead line attachment. One Rocker Switch selects Charge/Fire operations and is located on the side of the machine. When depressed down, the unit will Charge to its design energy and indicate Readiness with a “Ready Light” located on the front of the unit. To Initiate, the Rocker Switch is pressed to the upward position. When “Fire” is selected the HCCR discharges and shunts electric output approximately 4.5 to 8 milliseconds after current is detected. The Scorpion HCCR is engineered so that it may only fire when fully charged and maintaining verified armed specifications. The battery compartment is well protected and covered by a fitted plate secured in place by stainless steel screws. Four ‘D’ Cell batteries provide a lengthy service of Charge/Fire cycles. The Scorpion HCCR also incorporates 2 stainless steel D-Ring attachment points allowing the user to attach a strap or other carrying accessory.

Superior Field Reliability

Scorpion devices are built with the highest quality electronics and components so you can count on them to work in even the most unforgiving environments. Engineered for long life, Scorpion devices continue to provide reliable performance for decades in the field where other manufacturers break down after only months.

Quick and easy battery replacement in 1 step

Scorpion units are designed with a waterproof battery compartment for quick and easy replacement. No need to remove screws and, as with competitors machines, expose the wiring and internal components just to change the batteries. EIT developed the one step on and off compartment cover to let you replace a battery anywhere- no tools required.
